Davie Norris Boatbuilders Ltd., based in Christchurch, New Zealand, was formed in May 2001. Davie Norris, who owns and manages the company, has over 24 years experience as a custom boat builder.

For Davie, the move to create his own company was the final step in realising his dream: "To build and develop boats using the latest technologies, producing quality, finish and strength".

Davie has implemented a management structure that allows him to remain active on the factory floor where he is available to all staff and clients. He retains the day-to-day responsibility for project management, quality control and training.

To produce the quality required, Davie Norris Boatbuilders completes the entire boat building process within its 18,000 sq ft factory with over 25 professional staff.

The factory includes joinery, engineering, paint, electrical and plumbing shops, as well as a design office, while on the build floor is a 60ft extendable curing oven.
